I know, I know, no action here at all these days. What can I say? I've been lazy. I'm in a creative slump. Can't sell anything anyway, so I guess I just figure why bother? Something will come back to me, it's just a matter of time. My hands never remain idle for long.
Here's me pumpkin this year. Hope you all have a happy and safe Hallowe'en. My black cat Shadow just came in a few minutes ago after being outside since 7:30am and I have to tell you she was about to ruin my night. Luckily however she came home and she is now in safe and sound. Let the boogyman come, my babies are all in....lol.
Well Sept. is marching right along and it won't be long until there's a whack of company here from Ont. to celebrate Pearce's dad's 100th birthday. I haven't been spending a lot of time indoors yet which means nothing is being done on the mat I'm suppose to finish by Christmas...lol. Oh, well, it won't be the first time I'm late getting a project done.
It was an extremely busy summer for me this year and I enjoyed every minute of it. Spike's garden turned out beautiful but as usual the slugs got the best of the veggies. I'm on a mission now to change things for next summer. I refuse to plant any veggies at ground level from now on. I'm trying to hunt up used and broken fish trays which will be above ground and perfect for growing in. If I can't get enough of those (if any) I'll hunt around for old barrels, old buckets, old bath tubs, old anything...lol. The slugs have had they're last meal from this gardener.
Sooner or later I'll be spending more time on the sight so I hope I get the odd visitor stopping in to say hello.
In the meantime, catch ya's later.
It happens to be a rain day and I just got my new laptop today so I decided to pop in and touch base with my website. Man! I've been so lazy when it comes to updating the site. We've had a fabulous summer and most of my time is spent out doors. My garden is doing as well as can be expected considering the slug population. Each year it gets a little better and I'm already thinking ahead to next summer. If today is any indication of what the rest of the summer is going to do (and there ain't much left) then I anticipate more inside time and the beginning of a new mat. I'll try not to be so tardy but again it all depends on the weather. Warm and sunny = outside. Cool and rainy = inside. Plain and simple.
Have a great day.
