With holidays and two small kids it hasn't been easy for Laura to find time to sketch. She sent me this one the other day however and it's nice to see that she's getting back at it. And obviously she hasn't lost her touch! Keep at it Laura, practise makes perfect.

Although you can't get much better than this!!!

I don't see Laura as often as I did through the summer but we manage a tea or two on the weekends that she is down. She showed me these next two sketches over the weekend and then emailed them to me last nite. She has sketched Spencers Dock from a different angle and has even included Giz and I.  This sketch was done looking out her front window, the second sketch she got from a magazine I believe. Both are excellent!


  
We're seeing where Laura has moved on to charcoal now and what a difference it does make!
 






This is Laura's first try at sketching Gizmo. She only had a head shot to work with. Although it's not a true rendition I still love it! It looks like an Egyptian relative loaded with attitude! Almost Doberman in appearance. Gizmo loves it!

A new arrival Laura did for her budding figure skating daughter...

 









After months of being busy with other things Laura
finally sent me this new piece. Very soon Laura and
her two girls are going to B.C. for a month of visiting
with family. Hopefully when she returns she'll get back
into some more serious sketching. Have a great time
Laura, Raevin and Randi!

Here's the new deal, Laura and the girls have decided to stay in B.C. We're very sad that they're gone but of course we wish them all the best. Laura keeps in contact and is still sketching so here's the one I just received. As long as Laura keeps sketching there will always be a place on this web site for her.

It's been quite a while since Laura left us to live on the other side of the world...lol. To us anyway. Laura is working and the girls are both fine. Here are the two most recent sketches out of B.C.

Keeping with her bold style Laura certainly hasn't lost her touch. Her female forms are always so strong and sensous, an attribute that describes Laura herself.
